As a result of the emergency generated by COVID-19, at Intercorp we promoted initiatives that contributed to the strengthening of our health system and reaffirmed our commitment to the well-being of Peruvians.
We would like to share with you the campaigns that we carried out, together with the responsible authorities:
We helped develop fast and cheap molecular tests (May 2020)
Through Concytec, we allocated 150,000 soles to finance the project that scientists from the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia developed to create rapid and low-cost molecular tests for the detection of COVID-19.
We donated facial shields to protect healthcare personnel (May 2020)
We have donated US $36 000 to the Tinnitus organization, which allowed them to acquire 20 3D printers and raw material to manufacture 12,000 face shields for the protection of medical personnel in MINSA health facilities nationwide.
We donated smart tablets to MINSA doctors (April 2020)
Through CONFIEP, Intercorp donated 500 multifunctional tablets for the Minsa medical staff, allowing them to speed up their work and have a more effective and efficient follow-up of the cases treated.
We acquired mechanical ventilators and medical equipment for EsSalud (March 2020)
Intercorp, through CONFIEP, donated US $100,000 for the acquisition of 137 mechanical ventilators, 40 five-parameter monitors, 140 mattresses and pillows, and N95 protection masks, an effort that contributes to expanding the installed capacity of our public health system.
