de “Rescatar para soñar”

In line with its purpose of accompanying families to have their dream home, Promart launched the “Rescatar para soñar” program, which seeks to facilitate families in vulnerability conditions access to home products which have lost their commercial value but are suitable to be used upon their maintenance and/or repair. Thanks to this program, the beneficiaries have acquired access to products such as toilets, floors, furniture, and others, which allow them a better quality of life and decent housing.

In partnership with Recidar, a social organization and entrepreneurship which wagers on reusing goods, over 4 thousand products worth + S/223 thousand, from a store and distribution centers in Lima. These were repurposed with the Recidar team and offered at a social price in its small shops (bazares), generating decent purchasing experiences for low-income families and local entrepreneurships, in addition to revenues of +S/40 thousand for Recidar.

With this program, in addition to reducing waste generation and impacting positively on vulnerable families, a small business as Recidar is strengthened and a contribution to the formal second-hand market is made.
